In 2009, Tony Verra purchased the original Grand Slam Deli located in Canton, MA. One year later he opened a second location on Rt. 106 in West Bridgewater and welcomed Chef Beni Kola to the Grand Slam family.

In 2015, Tony and Beni decided to relocate Grand Slam to its current location. From there, they expanded to a full service restaurant, pub, take-out and catering facility and renamed their business ‘Grand Slam Pizza and Pub’.

Today, Grand Slam employs over 50 diverse individuals ranging in ages and backgrounds. Both Tony and Beni continue to run Grand Slam. They enjoy serving and being involved in their community.

TONY MOVED FROM ALBANIA TO AMERICA IN 1992. OVER THE YEARS, HE HAS THRIVED IN THE RESTAURANT industry HOLDING POSITIONS FROM MANAGER TO OWNER AND OPERATOR.

TONY IS A HUGE NEW ENGLAND SPORTS FAN, ESPECIALLY THE PATRIOTS. HE HAS BEEN MARRIED FOR 18 YEARS AND IS A PROUD FATHER TO 2 CHILDREN.

CHEF ARBEN “BENI” KOLA

Chef Beni moved from Albania to America in 2003. He is a Certified Executive Chef and earned his Culinary Arts degree from Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.

Chef Beni has been married for over 13 years and is a proud father to 3 beautiful children.
